Would a person with lymphoma have a lymph node that swells and gets painful, then when the swelling subsides, there is little to no pain and have this repeat itself every month? This happens to me before my period....its under my armit.

My lymph nodes swelled and stayed swollen, without any real pain. In your case, it may be something connected to your period, such as hormone levels. I would certainly suggest checking with a doctor though.

Reply:I had lymphoma in my neck @ 8 also. The tumor came but didnt go away when i got a cold is the only time it hurt, until they diagnosed me. You should go to the doctor mine was the size of a tennis ball....
Reply:Talk to your doctor. It may not even be a lymph node. The tail of the breast reaches to the armpit. It could just be breast tissue reacting to hormones.
