Does this sound like lymphoma?

First of all please don't tell me to go to a doctor because I already have an appointment set up for next week.





I just want to get people's opinions who have dealt with or know of someone who has dealt with lymphoma.





7 months ago I noticed a non painful bump on my neck. A month later another one appeared right next to the bump that already existed.





I've been feeling sick for about a month now. I can't keep anything down, have headaches, fevers come and go, I'm tired all the time, have the chills, constant cramping in my stomach, and my bones ache. At first I just passed it off as the flu but I appear to be getting worse and no one else in the household has caught anything from me being sick.





The swelling of my lymph nodes fluctuate in size but never any smaller than a dime. What are your thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Reply:it sounds to be lymphoma, but it can be anything else may be some infectious or other proliferated disease.


but at any way it should not be ignored, and u must check it fast but any way dint worry early diagnosis means good chance to heal
Reply:I must admit some of the symptoms sound like a lymphoma except the painful bumps on your neck and the gastro symptoms. Bumps caused by lymphomas are painless.


I would like to know if you had loss of weight in these seven months ?

The doctor will take a biopsy out of these bumps and will be able to tell you the right diagnosis. You should insist on a biospy and a histopathological analysis of the bumps.





Painful bumps are often the result of an infection. But as I said it before speculating wouldn't help.

Reply:When lymph nodes enlarge with lymphoma, they do not fluctuate in size, and rarely cause fever, and have the fluctuating symptoms that you describe.





My advice is to not go into the doctor with the diagnosis in mind, let him/her evaluate in a methodical scientific way for the best results.

My Lymphoma started with a bump on the neck. That bump was a swollen lymph node. A tumor was growing in the area, that's what made the lymph node swell. The tumor soon got so large it almost obstructed my throat completely. By then, I was diagnosed and then I started chemo.





Lymph nodes can swell for a variety of reasons. You are wise to check with your doctor. They need to biopsy the node to see if any cancer cells are present.
