I had not been feeling well for several weeks when about 6 weeks ago I came down w/ a temp of 104. Nothing felt particularly bad.I went to the Dr %26amp; ran numerous blood test along with a CT scan of my Abd. The Ct showed enlarged lymph nodes through out my abd.
My Dr felt repeating the scan in a few weeks is good idea. However, since then I have gotten severe lower back pain...had an MRI on my lower spine and it showed two herniated disc. Had injections for those w/o any success in helping with the pain.
I am exhausted all of the time %26amp; have 3 small kids to care for and am barley making it some days. I can't even begin to express how freakin' tired I am.
I have started having these night sweats that are hard to describe as well I just wake up clammy %26amp; even drenched. My Dr mentioned Lymphoma as a possible DX %26amp; I scared. yet I feel like he is dragging his feet a bit in figuring this out. So I wanted to hear experiences from others so that I can either push my dr or be patient %26amp; wait.TIA
What are the symptoms of Lymphoma? Serious answers only please?
I know some what of what you are going through. It took the doctors 4 months (and alot of test) to finally diagnose me with SLE Lupus. Along with it, I have got alot of attached illnesses. While going through all these test though, lymphoma was one they tested me for. Lymphoma means just that, its in your lympnodes. Have they talked about testing you for fibromyalgia? Its a semi painless test and since your having back pain, it could be more on the mark that lymphoma. Also, have you had your iron level tested? Low iron will cause you to be VERY tired at times.
My lympnodes swell alot, especially in my neck. I also notice that stress causes it to be known as well. It sounds like to me, you need to go visit a new doctor and get some one else's opinion about it. Try not to panic and dwell on it. Everything will turn out!

Reply:Hi, I'm not sure about the Lymphoma!!! That's a form of Blood Cancer as far as I'm aware!! If you have 3 herniated discs that would account for the pain in the lower spine. I have 3 lumbar discs fused with Pedicle Screws, Plates, Rods, Bone Graphs, and Cages. I am under pain Management as there is nothing else that can be done surgically for me. The night sweats I get from the amount of pain I live in and the pain also causes extreme exhaustion just dealing with the emotional aspects of intense pain and also the depression that accompanies it. It may be a good idea to get a second opinion and also talk with an Orthopaedic surgeon or Doctor concerning the herniated discs...... All the nerves that your body uses to communicate with itself comes out of your spine through the discs and that may account for more than you may imagine, It sure does me!!! Lymphoma??? That's a pretty heavy diagnosis and I wouldn't take one doctors opinion on ANYTHING that has to do with that type of Diagnosis!!! Do yourself a favor, Go see someone else, but , don't tell him of the other doctors diagnosis and see what he says!!1
Good Luck To You !!!!
