After reading about someone with Lymphoma, I wanted to learn more about it !
What do you know about Lymphoma???
there is non-hodgkins lymphoma and hodgkins lymphoma. NHL effects the lymphatic system (the system that controls the health of your immune system) the lymph cells grow and reproduce without stopping, it will take over the cells in the body and causes severe internal bleeding and causes infections
Reply:One of the things to do to keep the lymph system operating to it's full capacity is excercise. Excercise is important to maintaining good overall health. We tend to sit around and surf the internet or watch TV or play video games instead of playing ball, riding bikes, swimming, etc. the lymph system needs movement in order to stay healthy. Jumping on a trampoline either a big one or one of those little three foot jobs, is one of the best things to do to keep the lymph fluid flowing.
Reply:Well, Lymphoma is actually a general name for several classifications of Lymphatic cancer. Divided into 2 categories (Hodgkin's and Non-Hodgkin's) Lymphoma consists of about 30 different types of cancer.
NHL can show up pretty much anywhere in the body. Because Lymphoma is technically a cancer of the blood, it can spread to any major organ. Lymphoma is now the 5th most common cancer in the United States.
For the best information on Lymphoma, I suggest visiting www.lymphoma.com. There are a lot of really good links there to credible sites with accurate information.
